This was by far my favorite project out of all the ones we did this class. I’ve been wanting to design a logo for my photography business for a while, and was considering hiring a friend to create one for me, but to be able to make one for myself was so awesome. (and getting a grade for it was an added bonus.)
This project was the easiest for me, probably because I had been thinking about this before hand, and also because I was so passionate about the idea. I knew I wanted to include a camera and my initials to represent Lauren Leaseburg Photo. The logo is what took the longest, it was a lot of small details that needed to be fixed over and over again to make it look the way I wanted it to. I wanted to keep it simple, but still have it read as a camera. It was time consuming, but completely worth it, because I am really proud of how it turned out. Making the business card itself was super easy. I knew I wanted it to be simple, bold, and high contrast. I think I was able to achieve all the aspects of a card that I wanted.
Like I said above, this project was my favorite. The fact that I could make the logo and business card for something that I, pretty much single-handedly, built from the ground up was super rewarding.
